Anthony “Tony” Michael Yurkovich, 56, of O’Fallon, IL, born Wednesday, June 7, 1961 in Kansas City, KS passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Tony was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a very hard worker and took pride in everything that he did. Tony earned the Midas Manager of the Year Award for the entire company. Anybody who worked with him knew him as an extremely trustworthy manager and a very knowledgeable person with diagnosing any mechanical problem. Tony had a passion for woodworking and was a very talented carpenter. He enjoyed being outdoors spending time on his gazebo while listening to windchimes, barbequing for himself and his family, and traveling. More than anything else, Tony very much loved his family and his daughter. People who knew Tony will remember him for his wonderful sense of humor and huge heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Yurkovich.
Tony is survived by his loving parents, Jack and Carol Cheatham, nee Sutter; daughter, Kaitlyn Yurkovich; brother, Timothy (Aimee) Yurkovich of O’Fallon, IL; sister, Cynthia (David) Frost of O’Fallon, IL; grandmother, Mable Sutter of O’Fallon, IL; former wife and best friend, Sarah Yurkovich of O’Fallon, IL; niece, Meaghan (Travis) Krukemeier; nephews, Thomas Frost, Michael Yurkovich; great niece, Andie; and great-nephew, Camden.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schildknecht Funeral Home 301 South Lincoln Avenue O’Fallon, Illinois 62269. A second visitation will be on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment with full Military Honors will take place on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
