Obituary for Michelle R. Thebeau (Peterson)

Michelle Rene Thebeau, 64 of Belleville, IL, born October 3, 1952 in Belleville, IL, went on to Gods’ care with her children by her side on Friday March 24, 2017.

Michelle retired as an Operator for the St. Clair County Intergovernmental Grants Department, a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fairview Heights, IL. Michelle always enjoyed playing bingo and cards with friends, going to the salon to get her hair fixed and when she could no longer get out, watching her religious television shows and game shows, but above all spoiling her grandchildren was by far her favorite pastime.

Michelle was preceded in death by her parents: John and Juanita Peterson, nee Canty, husband; Michael Thebeau.

Michelle is survived by: 2 children, her daughter; Krista Thebeau of Belleville, IL, son; Dane Thebeau of Belleville, IL, brother; Louis Patrick Peterson of Fairview Heights, IL, sister; Gwen (Robert) Barcum of Litchfield, IL, 2 grandchildren; Jordan Thebeau and Jaden Thebeau.

Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation www.kidney.org. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.schildknechtfh.com.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 27, 2017 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Schildknecht Funeral Home, 301 S. Lincoln Ave., O’Fallon, IL.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 505 Fountains Parkway, Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with Fr. Ray Schultz officiating.

Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Schildknecht Funeral Home.
