Obituary for Matthew M. Malone

Matthew M.  Malone
Matthew Michael Malone, 40 of Shiloh, IL, born September 7, 1976 in Urbana, IL, passed away on Saturday March 25, 2017 at his home peacefully with his family by his side in Shiloh, IL.

Matthew was a graduate from Centralia High School and Webster University. He was formerly a Walgreens Store Manager and currently worked for Redbox. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Fairview Heights, IL. He had a passion for playing sports. When he wasn’t on the golf course you could find him coaching his children in all of their youth sports including basketball, softball, soccer and baseball. Matthew enjoyed traveling with his family and going on vacations. Some of the best memories made included family vacations to The Bahamas, Disney Cruises, and golf trips. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and kids. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him especially his family.

Matthew was preceded in death by his son, Harrison Matthew Malone; grandmother, Dixie Malone and grandfathers, Ernest Moss and Gene Malone.

Matthew is survived by his wife of 15 years, Carlena Yvette Malone, nee Sanders, whom he married on May 5, 2001; parents, Michael and Betty Malone, nee Moss; three children, Isabella Malone, Carson Malone and Sean Malone; one sister, Melissa (Brian) Dziubinski of St. Charles, IL; two sister-in-law’s, Monica Sanders of Herrin, IL and Cyndi (Chad) Tilley of Bangladesh; two grandmothers, Louise Moss of Edwardsville, IL and Lilly Malone of Dania, FL; in-laws, Carl Sanders of Fayetteville NC and Nelly Sanders, nee Lugo of Centralia, IL; and nine nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn Dziubinski, Kyle Dziubinski, Keegan Dziubinski, Kendra Dziubinski, Mark Tilley, Zac Tilley, Nina Tilley, Emma Tilley, and Rebecca Tilley.

Memorials may be made to Matthew M. Malone Children’s Educational Fund or The American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/donate). Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.schildknechtfh.com.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 31, 2017 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Christ United Methodist Church, 339 Frank Scott Pkwy E, Fairview Heights, IL 62208.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April1, 2017 at 10:00 am at Christ United Methodist Church, 339 Frank Scott Pkwy E, Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with Rev. Shane Bishop officiating.

Burial will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Centralia, IL with Rev. Mark Girardin officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Schildknecht Funeral Home.
