Viola May Carson, 87, of O’Fallon, IL, born December 2, 1929, passed away February 6, 2017 with her family at her side.
Viola May had worked for 20 years at O’Fallon City Cleaners as a Presser, she attended the O’Fallon United Church of Christ, was a huge St. Louis Blues Hockey fan, avid NASCAR Racing enthusiast, enjoying cooking for her family, sewing, crocheting knitting and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; James and Anna Nail nee Ziegele, son: Steven G. Carson, 2 brothers; Willard and Edward Nail, 3 sisters; Marie Keck, Virginia White and Letty Gordon.
She is survived by her husband; Kenneth Grant Carson of O’Fallon, IL, 3 children; Rick (Beth) Carson of O’Fallon, IL, Jane (Joe) Hogg of Lebanon, IL, and Kay (Roger) Ahrens of Lebanon, IL, sister; Betty (Charles) Woods of O’Fallon, IL, daughter in-law; Kim Carson of Naples, FL, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Friday February 10, 2017 at the Schildknecht Funeral Home 301 S. Lincoln Ave., O’Fallon, IL 62269
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Monday February 13, 2017 at the O’Fallon City Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Martha Thierheimer officiating.
