Brenda A. Schaffer, 58, of Shiloh, IL, born August 8, 1958 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016.

Brenda was a Hostess at the Olive Garden restaurant in Fairview Heights, IL. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Most of all spending time with her adored granddaughter Ava, and her son Shawn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Amelia Hughes (nee Marderosian).

She is survived by her son, Shawn (Mariana) Schaffer of Maryland Heights MO.; a granddaughter, Ava Marie Schaffer; a brother, Jay (Barb) Hughes of Colombia, IL; and her sisters, Stacey (Richard) Walraven of Keyesport, IL, and Vickie (Larry) Chism of New Athens, IL.

She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
