On August 1, 1949, Phillip & Frances Schildknecht founded Schildknecht Funeral Home with that mission and the commitment to providing the highest standards in quality and service for each family we serve. Our funeral directors are licensed in Illinois and Missouri, proudly serving the entire St. Louis Metro area including the counties of St. Clair, Madison, Clinton, Monroe, and Bond in Illinois and St. Louis, St. Charles, Jefferson, and Washington counties in Missouri.
In 2008 Schildknecht Funeral Home added an on-site crematory, Cremation Services of Metro East, LLC, a subsidiary of Schildknecht Funeral Home, Inc. Your loved one never leaves the care of our compassionate and certified staff. Most cremation services still include a public visitation, funeral or memorial service, graveside service, in conjunction with many other options.
