Judy P. Dotson, 64, of O’Fallon, IL, born September 17, 1952 in Rockford, IL, passed away on August 25, 2017 in Belleville, IL.

Judy was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church in Chicago, IL. She retired as a Chicago Police Officer. Her biggest passion was the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She had a love for cooking with family and gardening. While Judy was a Chicago Police Officer she gained a huge interest in guns and enjoyed sharing that interest with her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. Thomas Jr.; mother, Lessie B. Dotson, nee Allen; and brother, Richard Dotson.

She is survived by her father, Brazel Dotson of Peoria, IL; children, LaTanya B. Dotson of Chicago, IL, Henry A. (Simone) Thomas III of O’Fallon, IL, and Rasheed Walter Thomas of Chicago, IL; siblings, Jennifer (Willie) Snell of Chicago, IL, Janice Dotson of Chicago, IL, and Michael Dotson of Chicago, IL; grandchildren; Julian Thomas, Cheyenne Dotson, Kennedi Huff, Elijah Huff, Dominique Matlock; great grandchildren, Jeremy Cridell; and her fluffy Border Collie Terrier mix companion, Cutie.

Services will be held on a later date in Chicago, IL.
