Willie Clinton Pruitt, 76, of O’Fallon, IL, born October 8, 1940, in Collinsville, MS passed away March 5, 2017 in Mascoutah, IL.
Willie was a retired Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force, serving twenty-six years of active duty. After retiring from active duty, he continued to serve the United States Air Force as a civil servant for twenty-three years. After retiring from civil service, Willie continued to go to the Air Force base frequently in order to visit his friends whom he considered his Air Force “family”. He loved American cars, specifically Lincolns and Oldsmobiles. Willie enjoyed cutting grass, washing his car, and continued to be active after his retirement. He was very devoted to his church and enjoyed attending services every Sunday which included singing in the choir and maintaining the church grounds. Willie never met a stranger and was well known for his permanent smile. He will be remembered as being a very giving and loving soul, always helping anyone in need, even if he didn’t know them.
