Ruth Ann Mader, age 69, of Belleville, IL, born on November 7, 1946, entered into eternal life on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Rosewood Care Center in Belleville, IL.
Ruth was a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church in O’Fallon, IL. She enjoyed volunteering and being surrounded with workers and friends at Beacon Ministries of Belleville, IL. Ruth was an excellent and wonderful cook, and enjoyed preparing recipes passed down from her mother and grandmother. Ruth excelled and enjoyed making homemade dumplings with her pork roast, and her dessert of apple slices.
She enjoyed her visits with her many friends and family; especially cooking with her children and grandchildren. Ruth loved holidays, it was a great way to bring family and friends together, dance and cook/bake for all to enjoy.
Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Mader, whom she married on July 1, 1971; parents, George Soucek and Emma Soucek, nee Gosse; two children, Donna Saxion and John Strojia; and two grandchildren, Robert Mader, Jr. and Paul Koller.
Ruth is survived by her children, Robert Mader of San Diego, CA, Jean Koller of Springfield, Mo, and Janet Hernandez of Belleville, IL; son-in-law, Bill Saxion and daughter-in-law, Diane Strojia; siblings Carol (Bob) Geier of Sun City, AZ and George (Lynn) Soucek of Streamwood, IL.; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Faith Lutheran Church in O’Fallon, IL, followed by a memorial service on November 7, 2016, at 11:00 am at the church with Pastors Robert Downs and Candice Wassell officiating.
A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
