Gerhard E. Rottluff 83, of Shiloh, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh, IL.

Gerhard was born on February 12, 1933 in Richmond RI. He attended Christ United Methodist Church in Fairview Heights. He loved fishing, gardening, and bowling. He was also an avid sports fan with his favorite teams being the St. Louis Cardinals and the New England Patriots.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Margie J. Rottluff, nee Renken, and his parents; Otto & Hildegard Rottluff, (nee Schraer)

He is survived by a son, Robert and Sandra Rottluff of Belleville, IL; a grandson, Jeffrey Rottluff of Memphis, TN; a sister, Dorothy Baker and brother in law, Joseph Baker of Westerly, RI; 3 nephews, Steven, Paul and Michael Baker. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews from Rhode Island.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 9:00am-10:00am at Christ United Methodist Church, 339 Frank Scott Parkway East, Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 10:00am at the church with Pastor Shane Bishop officiating.

Burial will follow at Shiloh Valley Township Cemetery, Shiloh, IL.
