Obituary for Mary Kathleen Becker (O'Connor)

Mary K. Becker, nee O’Connor, 70 of Belleville, IL, born June 2nd, 1946 in O’Fallon, IL, passed away peacefully, Sunday June 5, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family & friends in Belleville, IL.

Mary was Executive Director of Braddock Carnegie Library & Community Center in Braddock, PA. Formerly employed by Belleville Mental Health, she was a volunteer for the Pittsburg Humane Society and for CASA. She loved gardening in her flowerbeds, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Edward & Gertrude O’Connor, nee Gerardi, and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband; George Becker of Belleville, IL, six children; Cassy McCauley of Belleville, IL, Brendan (Elena) McCauley of O’Fallon, IL, Kim (James) Labonte of White City, IL, Nikky (Adam) Stamp of Omaha, NE, Kristen (John) Jenkins of Jacksonville, IL, Joe (Kristina) Becker of Yucca Valley, CA, and twelve grandchildren; two sisters and four brothers.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois at www.hospice.org. Condolences and tributes may be extended to the family online at www.schildknechtfh.com.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 4:00 pm -8:00 pm at Schildknecht Funeral Home, 301 S. Lincoln Ave. O’Fallon, IL. 62269

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Sister Gertrude O’Connor O.S.F officiating.

Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Shiloh, IL. Arrangements have been entrusted to Schildknecht Funeral Home.
